Dental Implant Procedure in 5 Steps

Sequence of Appointments

Initial Consultation

Day 1
The doctor, our team, and you will determine your needs, assess your oral health, review your medical history, and discuss treatment options. We’ll also discuss costs, financing options if necessary, and timing.

Pre-Procedure Exam

Can be the same day as initial consultation
We'll take a 3D CT scan and create a photo-realistic 3D digitalization of your face and jaw area as well as make impressions of your teeth. This exam usually lasts around an hour.

Surgery Day

2 days to 1 week after Pre-Op Exam
We'll start by reviewing sedation options (IV or Oral). If required, any teeth will be removed during the actual surgery, implants are placed in the jaw bone, and your temporary, non-removable full-set of teeth are attached. You leave with your implanted teeth and new smile!

Post-Op Evaluation

1 week following surgery
You'll come back to our office for a complete evaluation to ensure proper healing, aesthetics, and functionality.

Deliver Final Prosthesis

3-6 months following post-op evaluation
The final restoration is permanently attached, and the doctor will give a final evaluation of your bite and aesthetics. You'll leave with your new permanent smile and self-confidence, which you can enjoy for the rest of your life!

Are you a candidate for Dental Implants?

Dental implants provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. With implants, you can rediscover the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh, and enjoy life. Implants are expected to last for a lifetime, don’t decay and won’t affect your surrounding teeth.
